When the look of the day is daunting,
And the chores on my list are haunting,
There is nothing I can’t make a start at,
With the help of a daft purring cat…
Though I need actions and solution,
And the mog makes no real contribution,
The tasks we take on together,
Seem to float through the day like a feather.
And when the dark duskiness comes,
We’ll curl up and cuddle as chums,
She helping me smile for she knows,
We’ll deal with whatever life throws.
